Qualification: Requires Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Telecommunications, or other related scientific or technical discipline.
Experience in managing small, mid and large-scale projects is required Experience with large IT infrastructure, Telecommunications and network projects. Experience with large telecommunication and network operations environments such as PSRNs, and law enforcement agencies. Experience in problem solving, process improvement methods, and business reengineering methods Supporters of project management discipline and practices, Use of Project Management Office Tools. Focus on Team Building and Vendor Management to involve peers, manager, executives, and other teams. Use of Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills required. Deliver Clear presentations and expectations of the proposed technical concepts and plans. Network, Telecommunications, Vice and Data technology knowledge desirable. Understand and represent Operations’ management’s perspective, issues, and requirements. Skilled in the use of project planning tools such as Microsoft Project or similar tools.
Specialist Skill Set: C4I (Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence) Systems Years of Experience Required: Seven plus relevant experience. Key Responsibilities The Technical Project Manager is responsible for the day to day management and oversight of implementation and execution efforts for one or more telecommunication and technology projects. This includes project planning, developing requirements documents, scheduling, communication, issue resolution and overall leadership of telecommunication and technology projects. Additionally this individual must add value by ensuring that the projects produced are of quality, and completed in a timely manner.
Defining project scope, deliverable, schedules, and tasks list. Conducting project kickoff, steering committee, and team meetings. Conducting Brainstorming Sessions and other project meeting facilitation. Estimating duration and resource requirements. Facilitating setting of technical, functional and business requirements Developing detailed project plans including resource plans Working with counterpart managers from related agencies to acquire needed resources Tracking/ managing projects from initiation to successful completion. Identifying and escalating issues Communicating project status Resolving Project issues, problems, and changes. Leading projects to overall success Report to management and executive team on progress
