Purpose and Scope

 

Lead/Provides the support/development/implementation of EXPRIS customized/ready made E&P/G&G applications Include defining systems design requirements, creating/developing prototype systems, program design, and development, testing and acceptance, producing relevant documentation and systems implementation. Takes the responsibility for maintaining and coordinating with E&P migration projects teams all aspects of E&P data interfaces between migration projects and in-house developed applications. Prepares detailed specifications from which complete sets of programs will be written and assumes overall responsibility for product quality and technology contents.  Participates in project planning, monitoring, target setting, and accountability for resource management, product quality control and standards enforcement. Develop and maintain facilities to assist in the development and maintenance of EXPRIS IT infrastructure (ADNOC & OPCOs). Provide documentation and detailed designs, and testing the implementation for any new E&P application.

·        Investigates and resolves irregular and complicated EXPRIS problems through system modifications, repairs, data manipulation, the development of work-around or site specific enhancements and system reconfigurations where necessary. 

§         Successful implementation of  major system modifications and enhancements

§         Effective resolution of Irregular operational problems (80-90% on time with user satisfaction).

§         Updated and approved operating procedures.

§         Competent staff and users

 

·        Oversees investigations to determine the need for effective business and EXPRIS solutions and defines strategies to ensure effective implementation and utilization of info systems in different business areas. 

 

§         Improved business processes that may cover more than on business area through implementation or increased use of information technology. (More than one event).

§         At least 80% Customer Satisfaction

 

·        Oversees risk analysis initiatives and the use of risk analysis methods, tools, and techniques to identify exposure of EXPRIS systems to potential danger in business critical processes

·       Documented risk analysis and corrective actions

·       Applied risk analysis methods and techniques

·       Identified dangers areas and corrective actions

·       < 5% access security violations

 

 

·        Coordinates the availability of EXPRIS application database capacity and availability based on appropriate analysis of business requirements.  Ensures and participates in the liaison with developers, end-users . vendors and service providers to determine and clarify capacity requirements. 

 

 

·       Performance is maintained at an acceptable and agreed level as per SLA agreements.

·       85% of the provided performance and capacity recommendations are acceptable for implementation.

 

·        Analyses, describes and documents current relevant E&P business processes and structures that support business activities.  Conducts cost and risk analysis and propose alternative business process designs to optimize business performance.

·        Coordinates to the evaluation and establishment of relevant E&P change management systems and procedures.  Oversees the interpretation and analysis of E&P data in determining the impact of change requests based on available data.

§         <5% Applications downtime, which results in user interruption, based on agreed levels.

 

 


Sr. System Analyst - Level 4

 

 

 

·        Designs, and oversees the implementation and review of E&P improved / new systems and produces plans and resource requirements for the implementation of configuration management systems.  Plans / monitors the production of configuration items, as well as their structures and inter-relationships. 

§         Well defined system CM plans, standards and procedures

§         Established CM system and tools

§         Up to date and available system configuration management system and procedures.

§         Trained staff

 

 

·        Leads the investigation of E&P data requirements, applies data analysis, and data modeling tools to establish, modify or maintain data structures and their associated components, and provide advice and guidance to database designers.

·         Well defined  data analysis document using EXPRIS  agreed standards and modeling techniques.

·         Complete high-level business function model for large and/or complex sized business area

 

 

·        Controls and manages E&P database management systems, monitors database activities and resources including allocation of system storage, working with capacity management functions, plans for future storage requirements and prepare cases for additional resources.

 

·         Database availability >90%

·         Up to date Database performance analysis reports with the recommended action plans. 

·         80-90% of Database problems resolved

·         80% Customer Satisfaction ratings

·        Maintain a detailed knowledge and application of general applicable database architectures, interprets the data model into an appropriate DB scheme, work with clients on development projects to make effective use of latest features and capabilities of database management systems.

§         Adherence to applications, software and database various architectures and facilities.

§         Availability of database performance statistics that proves that the designed databases meets the agreed performance level.

 

 

·        Installs or removes, conducts tests, resolve problems (typically those requiring greatest expertise in installation) and reports details of E&P software items using supplied installation instructions, tools, and test diagnostic procedures.

§         Installation schedules as per business requirements

§         <95% correct installation / removal of applications, database and software components.

§         <95%  resoled problems, less than 0% downtime

 

 

·        Takes full technical responsibility for all aspects of systems specification and design as well as advises on the selection and use of appropriate design standards, methods and tools and selection of E&P software packages.

 

·         Well-defined & documented system specification in accordance of EXPRIS  agreed standard.

·         90% OF assigned programs are delivered as planned within the estimated time and meet

·        Manages projects as required.  Coordinates the establishment of project and quality plans and monitors the tracking of projects accordingly.  Oversees project change control and revisions and ensures accurate management feedback.

§         Managed projects according to plans (including milestones, target dates and budgets)

§         On time and on budget.

§         Accurate On time management reporting
