Contract & Project Operational Manager will report directly to Senior Management. He is directly responsible for establishing and maintaining the Project matrix as follows;
Have a complete and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the designated Project. Which includes and is not limited to the contract and the scope of works.
Develop and maintain the Project schedule. To request and distribute information in a timely manner and to ensure that full compliance to the contract is adhered.
Work together with the Design Coordinator and provide all the required information so as he or she can complete their tasks.
Check and submit for approval all material samples and specifications in accordance with the company policy and procedures.
Manage and monitor all sub contractors work for compliance to their contract with Greenline Yacht Interiors.
Liaise with the planning department in regards to all design, engineering, production, logistic and installation scheduling.
Liaise with the commercial department and in particular the assigned Quantity Surveyor for the project on all variations and subsequent cost implications.
Liaise with the procurement department on all technical issues pertaining to the project.
Liaise with the production department regarding any issues for the project.
Liaise with the Operations Manager on all aspects of the project.
Prepare, monitor and track all PCO’s (Proposed Change Orders) and CO’s (Change Orders) in accordance with the companies polices and procedures.
Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for submittal to Senior Management and the client.
Attend all designated meetings in house, with the client or nominated representative, with sub contractors, designers and on site.
Implement and maintain an Occupational Health and Safety plan on site, complete with all the necessary documentation as per company policies and procedures.
Set up and maintain a well structured site office.
Manage on site Installation Managers & Fit out supervisors.
Coordinate the flow of information between sub contractors.
·To consistently keep abreast of market trends and construction methods.
·Ensure that the company policy and procedures are maintained and implemented at all times. Whilst continuously seeking ways to improve, refine and modify procedures.
Contract Manager
Manages all project activities from inception to completion.
Coordinates with the Tender Department to produce estimates, budgets and bills of material for the Project.
Coordinates shop drawings, procurement, and purchasing, manufacturing, delivery and site installation with all concerned departments.
Acts as Coordinator for the Company/Project when dealing with Clients, Subcontractors and Consultants.
Maximizes company’s use of assets towards project completion.
Acts to minimize outstanding issues with Shipyards, Clients / Consultants regarding project tasks, work quality and completion times.
Manages, organizes and plans all areas related to dealings with Sub-contractors, programming and coordination matters for the Project.
Trains subordinates on work procedures and tasks.
Submits management reports on a monthly basis on matters relating to project tracking, procurement and progress.The reports should identify problem areas and recommend procedures to site progress.
Tracking, supervision and steering of the company project through Installation Manager for successful, timely completion.
Debrief at critical phases or benchmarks, distribute and implement improvements in future designs or continuing phases.
Consistently keep abreast of market trends and construction methods.
Improve and create on current work processes.
Input feedback relating to Company policy & procedure to continuously seek excellence by improving, refining & modifying procedures.
Required Candidate Profile :
(Experience, education, skills, etc.)
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in Project Management OR should have relevant qualifications in Production Management (Interiors Fit Out).
15 years of professional experience as a site construction manager / contracts manager specializing in Interior Fit out of Super / Mega yachts.
Candidates should have strong experience in project costing and scheduling, preparing responses to proposals, bid preparation, and tendering techniques, contract management as well as procurement management.
Should be highly flexible & adaptable and ability to work effectively with multicultural workforce.
Having excellent analytical skills & communication skills.
